Students together on the beach at Agonda

The full moon that will be coming this May is known as Buddha Purnima or Buddha full moon.

It is believed that Buddha was born on this day, he got enlightened or attained Nirvana and also he gave his first teaching. These are the important events that took place on this full moon.

It is good to some time to practice meditation, chant mantras, sit silently, and slow walk in the nature or practice gentle yoga.

It is believed that the moon, like the other planets, exerts a considerable degree of influence on human beings and animals.

It is good to practice silently that will bring calm and peace within.

Full moons are connected with rebirth and new beginnings.

The energies of this particular night are considered to be very favourable for one’s inner evolution.

If you allow yourself to feel the moon’s energy, you may see similar changes in your own life.
