Not really a ‘license’ at most times, but you’ll need to look into insurance and maybe membership of a professional body or local authority in your jurisdiction. Both countries have no single Ayurveda license but client-like insurers expect to be shown you’re qualified to approach an individual physically.

Will my Ayurveda certification from India actually be recognized back home?

It’s rarely a government stamp — it’s the question of whether spa organizations, insurance companies and Professional Organizations recognize your certificate of completion and hours. Quality schools that give you certificates describing exact hours spent and specific methods taught typically won’t raise too many eyebrows, especially for Insurance companies that want to know the training was significant and experiential in nature.

Can I start working as soon as I land, or is there a waiting period?

Technically you don’t have to take any time off, but in reality, it makes sense to take 2-3 weeks to deal with business insurance, business registration, maybe try a spa arrangement to do practice cases.
