Eating, and noticing

Most of us eat without tasting much. The food goes in while something else is going on.

Five days of cooking slowly and eating what you cooked changes that before it changes anything about your diet.

You start noticing what a meal does to you an hour later — heavy, restless, settled. That noticing is really the whole of Ayurvedic nutrition. The recipes are only where it starts.

When it runs

Courses run October to April. Places are limited because every afternoon is hands-on practice in pairs.

Who comes

Is this ayurvedic cooking class for you?

Over five days you learn:

  • Which foods suit your own constitution
  • Simple recipes that give you the best of what is in them
  • Hands-on Ayurvedic cooking, not demonstrations you watch
  • Ayurveda’s view of food, and what it says about the effect of what you eat on body and mind
Your diet, your nutrition and how you cook your food matter enormously if you want to live a healthy, happy, balanced life.

The welcome meeting is usually between 4 and 5 pm on the day before the course begins.

What is included?

Travel, airport transfers and insurance are not included.

Is there a discount for booking early?
